Get Informed About Internet Marketing In 2012

by Andrew Martin on January 25, 2012

All of us here at Wikimotive will be attending the Digital Marketing Strategies Conference (DMSC) in Las Vegas in February and we couldn’t be more excited. The conference agenda was posted on ADM not long ago and DMSC looks to be an excellent experience for those attending this year.

DMSC and other conferences like it are a great way to get your internet marketing people informed about new strategies and ready to implement them in the new year. Experts from all over the country will conduct workshops on everything from BDC strategies to how to create and implement your own video projects. These workshops are endlessly helpful for dealerships who may be looking to hone their internet skills.

Our own Tim Martell President of Wikimotive will be part of the Winning Dealer Strategies Panel. This is a general session interview where after a short presentation attendees in the crowd can ask questions or pose scenarios to the experts and get their opinions.

These days it’s more important than ever for your dealership to stay informed and ahead of the competition and the information you can learn from your peers and experts like Tim at a conference can be invaluable.

Facebook page analytics company EdgeRank Checker has recently conducted a study of 30,000 posts on over 500 pages and they’ve come up with some interesting data. In the pages EdgeRank Checker analyzed they found that the average post will continue to receive likes and comments for around 3 hours after being published. This means that to maximize engagement and impressions a page owner should wait at least 3 hours in between each post. [click to continue…]

HD Televisions and How to Get the Most Out of Them

by Brittany Cibotti on November 18, 2011

When it comes to TVs, I am far from educated. Just last week while shopping for a new one, I found myself standing in the TV aisle of Best Buy with a perplexed look on my face. No matter what quality TV you purchase, you will not be able to notice much of a difference unless you program it to give you the best picture possible. Unlike you would think, TVs do not come out of the box ready to use at their optimum potential. [click to continue…]

Social media plays a larger and larger role in our personal lives, and even for those who don’t work with social media for a living like I do, it is starting to hugely effect our professional lives as well. For a while now social media marketing has been a large focus for businesses looking to strengthen their social image and target local relevant markets for advertising. Businesses of all kinds are also looking to social media for help finding and evaluating talent.

Reppler, a service which monitors social media, recently conducted a survey of 300 hiring professionals to find out details regarding their use of social media in the screening process. The study found that more than 90% of recruiters and hiring managers have searched for potential candidates on social networking sites as part of the screening process. A surprising 69% of recruiters have actually rejected candidates based on content found in their profile, and about the same (68%) have hired a candidate based on social network presence.

The infographic below details the findings of Reppler’s study.

Failing QR Codes – The Solution?

by Timothy Martell on October 20, 2011

This article was originally featured on iMedia Connection

Quick Response CodeThey have become the standard violator appearing on advertising; in the corner of print ads, across billboards, on buses, or in pieces of direct mail — even peppered throughout this article. You’ve seen them; that little block of even littler squares. Unfortunately the technology behind QR codes was not invented for advertising and marketing; we are just co-opting its usage, and it shows.

From the relative lack of public understanding of what they even are, to the dearth of creativity in their usage, the QR code is destined to become just the little box that geek built. But if it does go the way of CueCat, only we are to blame. Here’s why. [click to continue…]
